Portable protection for existing ceilings
The brick ceilings of the Pergamonmuseum in Berlin could be optimally upgraded in terms of fire protection with maxit ip 160 ETA-approved fire protection plaster - without dowel perforation or unnecessary ceiling load. The upgraded surfaces were created quickly and easily and left spray-rough. They are subsequently completely concealed by the installation of suspended ceiling systems.
The application range of conventional fire protection plaster systems usually only includes steel and concrete components. When used on deviating substrates, such as brick ceilings, metallic plaster bases must always be provided. Fastening plaster bases in hollow bricks not only increases construction costs, but is also technically problematic, as often no hold is found or the existing ceiling is massively perforated by the multitude of dowels.
maxit ip 160 ETA-approved fire protection plaster is a plaster according to DIN-EN standard. Its special material composition enables a classification CII according to DIN EN 998-1. maxit ip 160 can therefore be used for fire protection technical upgrading without a plaster base on brick ceilings (DIN 4102 T4, Table 5.15). In addition, the maxit ip 160 approved fire protection plaster enables significantly reduced layer thicknesses compared to conventional lime-cement plasters. The lower density creates significant advantages in terms of ceiling statics.
