Strohpanel | Insulation solid construction

Climate protection with self-interest

The conditions set by the contractor with regard to the processing of the maxit Strohpanel insulating panels were met in full. With the straw insulating panels, the desired overall thermal insulation value was met, thus creating the basis for a comfortable living quality. The use of maxit straw insulating panels saved around 5.1 t of CO2 in this building project. This means: negative ecological footprint and a double contribution to climate protection!

Wanted: Sustainable insulation system

The modern, solid single-family house was to meet the energy specifications - sustainability was particularly important. The client attached importance to a recyclable insulation system without any chemicals and found his system in maxit straw insulating panels.

Insulated with straw

maxit Strohpanel insulation panels measuring 300 x 800 mm and with an insulation thickness of 150 mm (thermal conductivity: 0.0405 W/(m·K)) were used. The boards were attached using the mineral adhesive and reinforcing mortar maxit multi 300, followed by mechanical fastening using maxit STR-U 2G screw anchors. This was followed by the application of an insulating plaster with 5 mm fabric reinforcement and - as a finish - 2 mm mineral finishing plaster in a scratch coat structure.
