Comfortable and energy-efficient in your own four walls

Health in old age - and best of all in one's own four walls. That is the wish of many people. The Workers' Welfare Association Bamberg offers a successful basis for this: service living in Gundelsheim. A residential project for self-determination in old age has been developed at the Bürgerpark.

Together with the planning architect's office, AWO Bamberg and the city of Gundelsheim realised 26 barrier-free flats there. The planning included construction criteria according to the most modern, efficient and ecological building standards. The energy efficiency of the building according to the KfW 70 standard was a particular challenge. Only building materials were to be used that could offer the future residents the highest level of residential health and safety.

Living comfort and economical energy consumption go hand in hand "Am Brückenpark". maxit promotes this combination with a novel energy concept. The innovative room system, consisting of interior and exterior plaster (ETICS), screed and wall paint, was reliably supplied by maxit from a single source. In their entirety, various building blocks contribute to a pleasant indoor climate.

Solid sand-lime brick exterior walls, laid with maxit masonry mortar, the maxit external thermal insulation composite system PS/MW 035, 18 cm and a high-quality solar finishing render against algae formation are essential components to meet the requirements of the energy concept. Triple insulated windows and an interior plaster based on lime complete the solution approach. maxit ensures the highest possible comfort and thus saves up to 30 percent in primary energy consumption.
