Chancellor visits multi-generation house

maxit installs thermal insulation composite system

Facing demographic change with an open mind and seeing it as an opportunity - also in housing. In Langenfeld, this took the form of a multi-generation house.

This project even aroused the curiosity of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. In March 2014, she personally visited the project to see for herself the successful cooperation. She described multi-generation houses as an "enrichment of society" that actively promotes cohesion and makes life really worth living. It was clear from the outset that the construction work had to keep pace with the innovative form of housing. The extension of the multigenerational house was therefore fitted with a maxit composite thermal insulation system.

In spring 2015, the extension to the house was fitted with a maxit external thermal insulation composite system. As a maxit partner, the specialist company Schlager from Neustadt an der Aisch decided to use around 600 m2 of maxit polystyrene-based ETICS. The adhesive and reinforcing mortar maxit multi 290 E from the silo with continuous mixer was used as the corresponding mortar. The mineral product maxit ip colour plus was selected as the finishing plaster.
